FACAMP Model United Nations is an initiative of the International Relations students at Faculdades de Campinas – FACAMP which will promote a model of international organizations and cabinets according to the highest patterns of excellence, following the governing quality and principles of FACAMP.

Being recently involved with international simulations – the first great presence of FACAMP students in similar events dated July, 2012 – it is noticed the strong engagement and the quality of preparation and results of our students. In less than one year, our delegations have already participated in six simulations (until May, 2013), held in cities as Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Porto Alegre and Rio de Janeiro, and even overseas, in Canada.

At this point, FACAMP students have been honored with 3 awards of Best Delegation; 10 awards of Best Delegate; 6 Honorable Mentions; 5 Verbal Commendations; Best Stand at the Nations’ Fair; and one indicated student to represent Brazil in the G20 2013 Summit, in Russia. The high number of awards in a short period of time represents the positive results of the high academic standards practiced at FACAMP.

In view of the high commitment presented by FACAMP students in hosting their own model, FACAMP Model United Nations has been created, presenting innovative propositions, such as:

  • • Participation of High School and College;
  • • Simulations in three languages: Portuguese, English and Spanish;
  • • Study Guides advised by specialized Professors from FACAMP;
Finally, for the first time in Brazil, the FACAMP Model United Nations will offer committees in which High School and College students will simulate the same topics, fostering in High School an intense learning experience, putting them in contact with the academic area and with College students.
