Registration

In order to take part of FACAMP Model United Nations, the following steps are necessary:

  1. 1. Set up a delegation;
  2. 2. Choose a Head Delegate;
  3. 3. Fill in the registration form (Form A);
  4. 4. Execute the fee payment (individual delegate fee and delegation fees);
  5. 5. After all these steps, the Secretariat will send the register confirmation.

Delegations and Head Delegates

Delegations can be composed from 1 (one) to 10 (ten) delegates.  However, a delegation composed by only one delegate is not eligible for Best Delegation Award.

Each delegation must choose a Head Delegate, who will be responsible for receiving all information provided by the Secretariat. Head Delegates must be present at all the Head Delegates Meetings during the Conference as well.

Country Assignment

Countries or Representations will be allocated by FACAMP Model United Nations Secretariat, according to date of registration and the assigned preferences of delegations on the Registration Form. Also, a distributive principle among institutions will be followed.

NOTE: FACAMP Model United Nations reserves the right to assign countries which were not listed on the Registration Form. All the decisions of FACAMP Model United Nations regarding country assignments are final.

Fees and Refunds

The proper payment of all fees is an obligatory condition to validate a registration.
Registration Fees will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Change Request

Head Delegates may submit a Change Request form in order to replace any mistaken or incorrect information concerning personal data of delegates. Requests in reference to country assignment will not be taken into consideration.

Dress Code

Delegates are requested to observe formal attire during all the Conference. National or traditional attire is allowed as long as it respects the formality of the event.
Male and Female delegates must avoid disrespectful or inappropriate dressing.
The use of official badges is required during all the Conference.

Suspension Policy

The organization of FACAMP Model United Nations is responsible for guaranteeing a diplomatic and respectful environment during all the days of Conference, from Committees’ sessions to social events. FACAMP Model United Nations reserves the right to immediately suspend delegates for improper behavior. There will also be penalties for the entire delegation, such as the ineligibility for Best Delegation Award and limitations of country assignment in future conferences of FACAMP Model United Nations.

  1. - Alcohol and Drug Policy

    Delegates consuming or in possess of alcohol and/or illicit drugs will be immediately suspended from FACAMP Model United Nations.

    - Smoking Policy

    Accordingly to Brazilian law, it is prohibited to smoke in all enclosed public spaces. Delegates are not permitted to smoke inside committee rooms or enclosed spaces in the conference venue and social events venues.

Social Events

The social events are initiatives from the students, and FACAMP is exempted of any responsibilities concerning these activities.

Official Accommodation and Transportation

Delegations are responsible for accommodation arrangements. As there are limited accommodations available at the official hotel, rooms will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If delegations could not arrange accommodations at official hotel, there is a list of indicated hotels in “Useful Links”.

FACAMP Model United Nations will provide official transportation from official hotel to conference venue. Delegates who miss the official transportation are responsible for their own transportation arrangements.

Valuables

FACAMP Model United Nations is not responsible for valuables or personal belongings left in conference venue, social events venues or buses.

Certificates of Participation

Certificates of Participation will be granted to all participants who attend at least 75% of sessions. Certificates will be handed over at the end of the last Committees’ Session.

Exceptions

The Secretary-General and the Coordination of FACAMP Model United Nations are the only staff members empowered to grant exceptions to general policies.  Requests for exceptions must be submitted in written form to famunfacamp@gmail.com.
