Cultural Activities

 

For each Conference day, there will be a cultural activity, in which delegates get to know each other and celebrate the progress of discussions. Cultural activities also intend to simulate the diplomatic process of socialization. 



Cultural walk through Campinas Historical Center with Professor Renato Brolezzi


A city must be comprehended as a space of passage, consumed in its immediate utility – or can it also be a space to be deciphered in its various superposed layers of collective history and individual memory? This is the question that we propose to the participants of our cultural walk through Campinas’ historical center, an invitation to immerse oneself in another perception of time: not the time of anxiety, but the time of idle curiosity.

Regional Party

To get to know more about Brazilian culture and tradition, especially from the metropolitan region of Campinas, FAMUN 2014 will mix samba, forró and sertanejo music styles to celebrate the progress of the committees’ sessions. Besides music, we will have typical food and games of the different regional Brazilian parties.

Have you already had the feeling that you are living in the wrong decade when you listen to a song or watch a movie from the ‘50s, ‘60s, ’70s or ‘80s? The greatest party of FAMUN 2014 will revive the music and dance which most of the delegates did not live, taking them through the time tunnel!
